Asking for feedback
Me personally, I am not that great at remembering to ask to open a FeedPulse after gaining feedback from a teacher. However, I did still go and ask feedback from teachers and peers. But I am not satisfied with the amount I asked teachers. I should have went more out of my way and approached some teachers to gather feedback on some projects or subjects. However, I did quite often ask peers for feedback on the stuff that I made.
But I did realise, sometimes when I wanted to ask for feedback I couldn't find the teacher or they're busy with another student for a good amount of time. Which was frustrating at some points. I think it would be better if teachers had like a schedule that you can use to reserve your timeslot to get some feedback.
Nonetheless, the feedback given by the teachers are very useful, which makes reflecting on it easier. But I learned that you shouldn't go to various teachers for feedback on one subject, as their feedback will contradict eachother very often.
Feedpulse
Feedpulse is very handy to have, even though I keep forgetting to ask for one, I always regret afterwards when I realise I didn't put it in Feedpulse. The fact that you can go back and see your feedback points on one page is especially nice when you're working on something. That way you can immediately go back and see what you should do or how to approach a situation.
I have learned a lot during this semester out and in school. About life in general and making actual goals for myself to achieve, I couldn't do this for about 2 years.
I wanted change in this semester so I worked more often on school and took everything more seriously, of course it hasn't been going perfect but it has been going great in my own opinion. After experimenting with various programs like photoshop and Illustrator, coding, making the portfolio, writing the assignments, clients and even reports. Everything has been a learning moment. Not always school-related as well, meeting other peers interested in the same topic and study let's you see their view on this study and choice of life.
I have become even more interested in art and designs in general because of this study, and to be honest, I am loving it. I love being creative and being able to express emotions in designs or artwork. I also love working with clients as I am always interested in other viewpoints and other people's creativity. I apply my own methods to communicating with people, for example I always try to find a balance between informal and formal. I think by breaching the formality you can get closer to your client and let them express their creativity more freely, but of course not being too informal as it wouldn't be professional.
In general, I found out I am more interested in the media design part of this study. But I am also slowly liking the IT part of the study as well the more I develop. It used to be boring and annoying but after you know how stuff works it gets more fun to do as you can experiment and try different things in code as well, not only in artwork.
General reflection
Being brutally honest, I am very unsatisfied with this semester. I disliked the fact that demand based and course based mixed. As I am repeating this semester, my last semester was course-based, I made this choice as I already tried demand-based. In course-based you're given structure and a clear goal. However, I did not pass previous semester that was course-based because of personal problems which led to lack of motivation.
But I did want to continue with the course-based as it went better than demand-based semester. But now I am in the same boat as before, as I find it hard to make my own structure and I am very bad at planning. So I found it really unfair as it suddenly switched to a mixed semester, which is also the first time it happened.
This semester felt exactly as demand-based and not mixed, which is really unfortunate as I wanted the opposite. However I had to deal with it as it was still my semester, so I tried my best and tried to adapt back to the demand-based style. I quickly noticed how my problems that I had in my first demand-based course was returning. By noticing this I saved myself from a horrible semester start. I worked on my portfolio and on the projects, I usually had problems mixing these as I was terrible at planning and managing a lot of stuff at once.
This time it went better and I saw improvement in my discipline, this might be because of some help I was getting outside of school for my mental health. I also took the role as a leader in my project group because of my experience from the previous semesters. This helped to create a good environment and we were ahead of schedule most of the time.
In short, the beginning to the middle of the semester went well, however towards the end of the semester I encountered some personal issues with mental health, which led to me getting less motivation. This is most likely due to the fact that I was kind of lost towards the end. I didn't exactly know what to do anymore and I also had the feeling I had too much left to do. Which put a heavy load on my shoulders and made me lose motivation to continue. However, as the semester was slowly coming to an end, I didn't want to give up as it was only a month left. So I just tried my best to finish up everything.

This is the PDF to the planning I made for my first idea of Project X, this is NOT a planning about my chosen project X. However, the concept is still the same (doing research, ideating, and developing the idea.) But this document shows you how I plan my projects.
